Another fantastic day out at the annual NZIA Mid-Summer BBQ with a great turnout and we made the most of being able to sit out in the sun!
Many thanks to Chris for securing us a sheltered sunny spot in Castleknock College where we had the run of the sports field for a spot of cricket and other sports games. Thanks also to all those that bought along such yummy food and especially to Leigh who manned the BBQ along with Alma. We were treated to a gourmet selection featuring not only the BBQ classics but all the kiwi favourites, sweet potato salad, Pavlova, Ambrosia and Afghan cookies! Highlights of the day included the Lolly scramble, which saw all the kids take home a bagful of goodies, and for the adults, Diarmaids loaded Baileys cheesecake was sweet as!
